Outputs
At Clydesdale Community Initiatives we encourage creativity and individuality, which is why we create plans and outputs that are specific to each individual and their needs.
Vocational skills are developed in a variety of ways:
- Through the experience of working to deadlines
- Working with teams and other agencies
- Assessing health and safety risks
- Individuals are made aware of a wide range of tools, equipment and machinery and how to work safely with these.
Progression is evident as individuals move from simple planting to creating complex dykes and paving, and similarly as the preparation of wood leads to fine furniture making. Where appropriate, individuals are awarded recognised training certificates.
Social skills are enhanced as individuals are encouraged to communicate, listen to and understand their co-workers. A wide range of social interactions are experienced through liaison and cooperation with customers, colleagues, foremen and woman, suppliers and partner agencies.
